2025 is the 25th year of our wonderful Club, which has done so much during that time! For this year, it was agreed at the AGM that membership would be just £25! This membership goes towards maintenance and pitch preparation for the Millennium Field, cricket net purchase and maintenance, Sark School sports programme as well as the purchase of any equipment requested by affiliated clubs. Your membership really does make a difference and enables the provision of sporting opportunities across all ages. The Sark Sports Club Presidents Cup is VERY deservingly awarded to … Ringo!
The Committee Chairman and President wanted to recognise Ringo’s exceptional commitment to the cricket club; his hours spent up at the pitch helping to make it the pristine place that it is, as well as his dedication to training and the wider team. Not forgetting his fundraising efforts which have helped to raise fantastic amounts for the Cricket Club too. Fairly new to our Sark Cricket Club, Ringo is a great role model for those considering joining and new club and trying something new, as well as being a dependable team mate.

The Alderney Ridunians have been invited to compete in the inaugural Scottish Inter-Island 10s Tournament. The Ridunians will be bolstered by some players from the Sark Shags.

Following fantastic coaching sessions led by Guernsey Hockey Association coach Teya Sheppard, seven Sark School children travelled to Guernsey to participate in the Year 5 Hockey Festival on May 8th. With 10 school teams competing in back-to-back 7 minute, 4-aside matches, our young players truly shone - scoring 15 goals, as well as displaying outstanding defensive skills! Their determination, teamwork and impressive hockey skills led to them winning four matches, drawing four, and losing only one, they impressed at every turn. While the festival was officially friendly, our rough calculations place them at an incredible 3rd place overall! The children were absolutely thrilled, and thanks to Sports Club funds, this trip and their coaching sessions were made possible. A huge thank you for your support!

Over the May Bank Holiday weekend, the 3rd Sark Golf Open brought teams together from across the Bailiwick for a brilliant day of golf and camaraderie. The event raised an astounding £6,473.71!
The Trustees of the Sark Golf Club generously donated £3,236.86 to the Sark Sports Club, with the remaining funds benefiting the Ray Lowe Sporting Foundation. A heartfelt thank you to all organizers, participants, spectators, donors, and sponsors - your support makes a tremendous difference to our local sporting charities.
And for those eager to get involved in next year’s event, mark your calendars—the Sark Golf Open 2026 is already scheduled for May 2nd!

Sark Sports Club partner with Clubs, Coaches & Associations in Guernsey to bring a variety of sports to the children of Sark School as part of the PE curriculum & enrichment programme. They have had the opportunity to learn Badminton Archery, Table Tennis, Darts, Cricket, Netball, Hockey and Judo.

Sark Sports Club & Guernsey Badminton
Association arranged for Team GB Badminton player, Commonwealth & European Gold & Olympic Bronze winner, Chris Langridge, to spend the day in Sark coaching the school children and meeting the locals.
